Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Center Temporarily Relocates

GREELEY, Colo. — Starting April 16, the Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Center will temporarily relocate to the southwest side of Island Grove Regional Park, at the corner of North 17th Avenue and B Street.

This move is temporary until the City of Greeley finalizes a future location. City staff have been in search of a permanent home for the GROW site since its original leased land was sold last fall.

The GROW Center provides the community with a convenient way to recycle organic items like tree branches, grass clippings and untreated wood.

Organic material — including “green waste” like logs, grass, leaves and garden clippings — is the single largest contributor to landfill waste. Recycling green waste diverts these materials from landfills and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Green waste can be made into compost, which is then used to improve soil, conserving water and reducing the need for chemical fertilizers.
