City of Greeley Welcomes Rentable E-Scooters and E-Bikes from Spin

Spin, the #1 micromobility provider in North America, will operate a pilot on UNC’s campus and in downtown Greeley through December 2025.

GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley is excited to announce a new partnership with Spin. This partnership will offer shared electric scooters and bikes for residents and visitors, starting with a pilot program this fall. The pilot will begin in October 2024 with a limited number of vehicles; a full rollout is planned for spring 2025.

The fleet will feature Spin’s e-scooters and e-bikes. Riders can access the vehicles through the Spin mobile app, which allows users to locate, rent and pay for rides. Low-income residents can apply for Spin Access, a special program offering discounted rates.

The app will provide information on where to ride, park, and report issues. The pilot program will cover an area from 35th Avenue to the railroad tracks, between U.S. Hwy 34 and 4th/5th Street. This area was selected based on the city’s “Greeley on the Go” Transportation Master Plan, which aims to improve transportation options for everyone in Greeley.

This pilot will help the city explore new, affordable ways to get around while reducing traffic and supporting Greeley’s sustainability goals. The City of Greeley encourages residents to share their experiences during the program. City staff will present the findings to City Council after the year-long pilot to help decide if a long-term program should be launched in Greeley.
